Spring has Sprung

One of the best moments is when you can fall asleep with the windows open and wake up to the sound of the birds chirping and feel the breeze of the fresh crisp air. We have made it; made it past the snow of the winter, made it past the rain that never stopped in March, and made it through the long dark days. We have made it to spring and the endless days of sunshine and warmth.

Us at bear bike are super excited for these longer, nicer days. It gives us more time to explore more routes and more pleasant riding for those who come out with us. Nothing feels better after being cooped up all winter, then taking a day outside to stretch out our legs and marvel at the spring blossoms as you cycle along the Delaware river or on the country roads nearby.

Delaware River

For the first time in awhile Alex and I have gotten off our bikes for longer than anticipated this winter. We have had a couple goals that needed our attention. We have completed the Napa Valley Marathon in March and it turns out that marathon training takes up a good amount of time and energy. At the beginning of the year we also bought our first house, an older home with great future potential after some needed love and attention.

Now that spring is here we are hopping back on and gearing up for another season of bike tours. We have already started, in fact, some of our customers came early this year and taking advantage of the nice weather. We had a great day out and stopped at one of our favorite stops, The Lumberville General Store. The Lumberville General store is a great stop when you are on bikes. They are very bike friendly with ample bike parking, outdoor seating options as well as a charming cafe inside. The food is always scrumptious with fresh baked goods every day along with kicking lunch options and a warm inviting staff..

Currently our availability is only on the weekends, but starting June 1 we will be available both weekend and weekdays! We had such a great time in 2016 for our opening year and looking forward to what 2017 will bring and all the great people we will meet. We look forward to the long days in the saddle with endless stops for coffee and cake and maybe some culture along the way. We look forward to getting to know you and all in all having a great day out exploring the Delaware Valley area.
